Our condensed school year and the hybrid model (and at some point, possible remote model) of school in 2020-2021 will force us to condense and minimize the instruction of some of the content. We will still follow the general sequence of the curriculum map linked below, but there will be less time and focus spent on operations with decimals, parts of geometry, and statistical displays. As needed, we will review some 5th grade content when we notice gaps in knowledge deemed essential for being able to move forward with the 6th grade standards. We are following the guidance of the Grade 6 Mathematics Priority Instructional Content for the 2020–21 School Year published by Student Achievement Partners.
